PROJECTS: Meta-Network - Information
Network maps
I've switched to using graphviz and dot to generate networks maps rather than drawing them by hand. Note that these maps may be out of date. Check with the folks in #plunk on irc.seekingfire.com for the most current information.
- Incomplete (but at least started!) network map, including only those hosts that offer services (workstations/etc are not listed) (PNG, dot src)

Old network maps
Note that these maps are definitely out of date.

Tunnel endpoint IP allocations
Tunnels from Tillman's perspective
This map was last updated 16-Jul-2005.
This whole section should be migrated to the MetaNetwork Wiki. Please volunteer to help :-)
Tillman operates one of the three ``core'' routers for the metanetwork, handing networks from most of the 192.168.0.0/16 private IP space (see exception below). From here, tunnels are allocated to the other core routers as well as to ``stub'' networks that participate in the metanetwork. Note that the 192.168.254.0/24 subnet has been reserved on the metanetwork for tunnels terminating on this ``side'' of the metanetwork. The end of a tunnel that terminates on Caliban is traditionally given the odd IP of the pair.
192.168.0.0/16 Exception: Subnets in 192.168.0.0./16 are so common that we unfortunately have some networks using them on the wrong parts of the metanetwork. Please avoid subnets below 192.168.10.0/24 in general.
NOTE: 192.168.254.150 through to 192.168.254.199 have been reserved for tunnel endpoints used by Smitty and guppy. Currently 150 and 151 are allocated. See the wiki for more up-to-date information.
